CTi Custom - The Best Of The Best For Asia Motocross Championships!

February 24th, 2009

Ossur hf., a global orthopedics company, with international sales and based in Iceland , has launched an improved version of the CTi knee brace designed to prevent knee injury in high-impact sports and maintain stability in knees that have suffered ligament injuries. This shall be launched during the 2009 FIM Asian Motocross Championships to be held in Puerto Princesa City , Philippines on March 1, 2009

Since 1983, CTi has been the leader in bracing top professional action sports athletes. The carbon composite and titanium construction of the CTi was developed with the aid of aerospace technology, and with performance feedback from top professional MX riders. CTi braces are available both as custom made and off the shelf. Each CTi Custom brace is hand-crafted to the athlete’s individual knee measurements, ensuring a custom, streamlined fit. In addition, CTi features specific design advantages and/or adjustments that can be made to optimize performance for riding dirt bikes, including:

• A basic frame design that functions well for riding. The CTi is the only ligament knee brace that captures the tibia, locking down securely on the tibial crest. The rigid upper and lower arms combine with the hinges, condyle pads and straps to properly align the knee joint and provide an accurately-tracking exoskeletal support.

• No rigid components in the upper medial aspect. This keeps riders streamlined to the bike and enables them to use their thighs to better grip the tank without pinching or digging in.

• Can be ordered with a patella cup. This protective cup keeps the patella safe from flying rocks and other debris common to riding environments.

• No rigid components across the posterior (back) side of the brace, so the rider won’t experience pinching or cramping when in deep flexion (squatting) through whoops or tight corners.

• A low-profile design which allows it to tuck into the top of MX boots. It actually works in conjunction with the boot to provide better overall protection.
